Pete Bee

Owner & Director / Trade Qualified Craftsman Carpenter

Originally from Wellington, Pete built his career in Christchurch while raising his two boys.

In recent years, he has divided his time between Christchurch and Twizel, managing projects across both regions.

A licensed building practitioner, Pete personally oversees every project and works onsite alongside his team to ensure each build meets the highest standards. With more than 25 years of experience in residential and light commercial construction, from new builds to renovations, he combines hands on expertise with strong project management skills to deliver builds as promised. He believes clear communication is essential to a successful outcome and values the relationships he builds with clients.

Outside of work, Pete enjoys boating on the Mackenzie District lakes, fishing the canals, collecting Ducatis and flying remote controlled helicopters.

Office Manager and PA

Deb Thompson-Bee

Deb met Pete in 2013, blending their families and raising four children who have now grown and flown the nest.

With 25 years in the Financial and Insurance Services industry, including asset lending and mortgage broking, she brings extensive experience to her role at Senna. As Office Manager, Marketing Coordinator and Client Liaison, she supports clients at every stage of their journey, proudly upholding the team’s core value of reliability, meaning they follow through on what they promise.

Deb is mum to Nic, now a builder, and Shannon, who runs her own coffee cart business and is mum to Layla, Deb’s much loved granddaughter. She is also step mum to Jackson, an apprentice plumber, and to the youngest, Cas.

Outside of work, Deb enjoys hiking in the South Island mountains, spending time on the lakes, cycling, gardening with Lily and Max close by, and staying active with yoga and Pilates. An active relaxer, she is happiest outdoors with family.

Established in 2015 by seasoned builder Pete Bee, Senna Homes was born out of a vision to redefine the building experience, going above and beyond and giving a down-to-earth personal approach to building. With a focus on extensions & renovations, reclads, new builds, and landscaping, we bring over 30 years of building expertise to every project we undertake.
